Excessive tardies and absences are among the early warning indicators for students being unsuccessful academically. As a result, we take tardies seriously at NGPA and make every effort to encourage students to be on time. A student that is excessively tardy to school or class will ultimately face the consequences listed above.

Students are required to attend school on time. The time to be considered tardy is 8:05am. Students are expected to be in class with materials out by 8:20 a.m. Absences are only permitted under the following circumstances: illness of self, medical appointment, death in the immediate family, religious observance, immigration or court appearance.

In the event a student is absent from school for the previously mentioned reasons, the proper documentation must be presented the following school day, no later than 3 days following the absence. No exceptions. Parents can send an email directly to the school’s administrative email admin@ngpacademy.com. stating the cause for an absence and attach documents.

Documentation for absences shall be reported to the student’s enrolled school by the parent no later than 3 days from the date of the absence. Failure to present documentation within the allocated time frame will result in the absence remaining unexcused and the denial of makeup work from teachers.
